He attained the age of 71 years, four months and one day. Donald Wildeboer was born a farm near Lennox on June 18, 1933, the son of Claus and Effie (Bartels) Wildeboer. He attended rural school and grew up there. On July 6, 1956 he was united in marriage to Mavis Erickson at Canton, South Dakota. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls where Don was employed at John Morrell & Co. for 32 years until his retirement in 1989. He was presently working part-time for Superior Tree Care tree trimming service. His wife preceded him in death on Apr. 13, 2003. Besides his wife, Mavis, he was preceded in death by his father in 1964, his mother in 1976, one sister, Grace, in 1969; two brothers: Eppo Wildeboer in 1992 and Martin Wildeboer in 2003. Grateful for having shared his life are his three children: Earl Wildeboer and his wife, Tanya, Linda Wildeboer and Karen Rederth and her fiance, Dan Baxter, all of Sioux Falls; six grandchildren: Patton, Luke, Amanda, Anthony, Jordan and Angelina; two great-grandchildren; four brothers and their wives: Harm and Pearl Wildeboer of Parker, John and Gloria Wildeboer of Lennox, Henry and Marlene Wildeboer of Worthing and Calvin and Bonita Wildeboer of Sioux Falls; three sisters: Leona Wildeboer, Rena Heibult and her husband, Harold, and Hilka Soderberg and her husband, Bob, all of Sioux Falls; plus a host of other relatives and friends.
