Otten on Nov. 13, 1941 in Hartington, NE∼Harm Wildeboer, 96, of Chancellor, SD passed away quietly at the Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion, SD on December 19th 2015. Harm Wildeboer was born April 21st 1919 on a farm near Lennox, SD to Claus and Effie (Bartels) Wildeboer. Harm was the second oldest of eleven children. He attended country school and as a young man helped on his parents' farm. On November 13th 1941, Harm married Adeline Otten in Hartington, NE. Harm and Adeline began their family farm together northeast of Hurley, SD and later moved to their farm southwest of Chancellor, SD. They were blessed with two children, Janice and Merlin. Harm and Adeline also raised their only grandchild, Tami. In 1982, Harm and Adeline moved into their new home west of Chancellor. Adeline passed away on April 1st 1989. Harm continued to assist his son Merlin farming until Merlin's death on January 30th 2005. Harm married Pearl Hardy September 11th 1993. Pearl and Harm shared their life together on the farm west of Chancellor until Harm went to the nursing home in January of 2015. Harm was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chancellor, SD where he served as trustee and on the building committee. He served on the Rural District 90 school board. He loved his family, life on the farm, gardening, and reading. In his younger years, Harm loved taking his family on fishing outings, he always knew where the fish were biting. In Harms later years, he enjoyed tending his garden, mowing and riding his golf cart around his acreage and sitting in the warm sun. Harm loved the Lord and accepted Him as his Lord and Savior as a young man. Besides his parents, wife Adeline, son Merlin, and son-in-law Richard Williams, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Eppo, Martin, Donald and Calvin Wildeboer and two sisters Rena Heibult and Grace Blackman. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Pearl, Chancellor, daughter Janice Williams, Marion, granddaughter, Tami (Lt Col Robert) Mammenga, Minot AFB, ND, two brothers John (Gloria) Wildeboer, Lennox and Henry (Marlene) Wildeboer, Worthing, two sisters: Hilka Soderberg and Leona Wildeboer, both of Sioux Falls, two sisters-in-law: Adeline Wildeboer, Chancellor and Bonita Wildeboer, Sioux Falls, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Arlin and Betty Twedt, Sioux Falls and daughter-in-law Kathie (Don) Wiebersiek, Chancellor, plus many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
