Description	:	SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Donna Fern Anderson, 85, of South Sioux City passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jerry Gilbreath officiating. There will be a lunch following the service Wednesday at the church. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Silver Ridge Cemetery, rural Ponca, Neb. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present at 6 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Donna was born June 4, 1923, in Ponca, Neb., the daughter of Gabe and Bertha (Wendte) Martinsen. She grew up in the Ponca and Newcastle, Neb. area. She married Roy H. Wendte. He died in 1962. She then married Derrel E. Anderson on Dec. 6, 1963 in Wayne, Neb. She moved to South Sioux City in 1965. She retired from Green Acres Nursing Home in 1995. Her husband, Derrel, died Jan. 22, 1986 in South Sioux City. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and served on the church circles. She also was a member of the Red Hat Society and the South Sioux City Senior Citizens. Survivors include four sons and their wives, two brothers, a sister, 16 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Ronald and Darrel; four brothers, Clarence W., Glenn, Lloyd and Elmer; a sister, Lois Harder; and three grandchildren.
