She was raised and went to school in DuBois. Donna married Vernon Brien on April 23, 1948 in Marysville, Kansas. They lived in the Summerfield area all of their married lives. Donna worked as a head cook for the Summerfield Schools and at Campbell Soup in Tecumseh, Nebraska for 18 years. Friends and family were important to Donna. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, camping and picking out walnuts. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Brien; parents; sister, Ruth; brother, Ross. Donna is survived by her daughter Donnell; sister, Opal Ulmer, several nieces and nephews. Interment at Bern Cemetery, Bern, Kansas.
