Mrs. Holroyd died Sunday at Friendship Manor, Rock Island. She retired in 1964 after 35 years as an elementary teacher in both Davenport and Rock Island. Donna Norton married Howard Holroyd in 1956 in Rock Island. She and her husband developed an elementary mathematics curriculum that was used locally and caught the attention of the National Council of Mathematics Teachers. She received a master's degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City. She was a member of Broadway Presbyterian Church, Rock Island; and Delta Kappa Gamma. Her hobbies were weaving and sewing. Memorials may be made to the church and Friendship Manor. Survivors include her husband; and two nieces, including Phyllis Jagusiak, Berkley, Calif.; and a nephew, Albert Packer, Grandville, Ohio.
