Description	:	Mrs. Dora Frizzell, 87, a resident of Polk and Merrick counties since 1897, died at 12:30 a. m. Thursday at Osceola. She had been in failings health for more than a year and was bedfast the past two months. The body will lay in state Friday evening at the Fleming Funeral Chapel, then at her home from 10 a. m. Saturday until the hour of the service. funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Saturday at the Methodist Church with the Rev. H. R. Webber, pastor, officiating. Merrill, Troy Van Winkle, Bruce Pickett, Chauncey Cremeen, Harry Sanders and Myron Barker. Mrs. Frizzell was born March 4, 1866 at Wapello, Iowa, was the daughter of James S. and Agnes Brooks Vaughn. On September 23, 1883 she married Samuel Frizzell at Wapello. After farming a number of years in western Iowa, they came to Polk County in 1897 and she had lived in the Silver Creek and Osceola communities since that time. Mr. Frizzell died in September, 1924. A member of the Methodist Church, Mrs. Frizzell was active in church circles in her earlier years. Grandma Frizzell, as she was known to all, was a good neighbor and friend and a most loving kind mother.
