She had been seriously ill for several months. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Benton Funeral Home, with Rev. Warren Smith of the First Methodist Church officiating. She had been seriously ill for several months. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Benton Funeral Home, with Rev. Warren Smith of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Doris Nelson was born in Great Falls, Feb. 9, 1922, and lived for some years in the Carter area, attending high school in Fort Benton and Belt. She married Leland Overholser in Great Falls April 4, 1940. For most of the time since they have operated a farm in the Egly community, and for a number of winters past have lived in Fort Benton, Leland working at the River Press. Survivors include the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Elaine O'Rourke, Portland, Ore., and Joan Overholser of Fort Benton; a son, Robert Overholser of Fort Benton; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Lippert, Fort Benton; brother, Robert Nelson, Helena; and half-brother, Lester Lippert, Fort Benton, and several step-brothers and step-sisters in this county. Doris was a wonderful wife and mother.
