Read More	∼Doris Louise Roberts was born January 2, 1928, to George "Doc" S. and Hessie (Davis Henderson) Roberts in Grand Junction, Colorado on the family homestead on North Avenue. She attended school in Fruitvale and graduated as salutatorian of Fruitvale High School in 1945. Doris graduated from Mesa Junior College in 1947 and married M. James (Jim) Hall on July 8, 1950. They resided in Rifle, Colorado, and raised four children, then moved to New Castle, Colorado in 1974. She has lived in Grand Junction since 2007. For many years, Doris was a member of the United Methodist/Presbyterian Church in Rifle and served as Sunday school teacher and in various other capacities. She had also been an avid golfer and member of the Rifle Creek Ladies Golf Club. Doris traveled in her retirement years visiting many European countries and went on safari in Africa. In more recent years, she bowled on several leagues and loved to Square Dance as a member of "Button and Bows" Square Dance Club. She was also a dedicated Denver Broncos fan. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Hall; her father, Doc Roberts; her mother, Hessie Roberts, and her brothers, Dan Roberts and Bob Geddings. She is survived by her brother, William "Bill" Roberts of Broomfield, CO; a cousin, Anne (Roberts) Tewksbury (George) of Clifton, CO; her children, Rod Hall (Barbara) of Riverton, WY; Ron Hall (Trish) of Grand Junction, CO; Judy Sterk (Rory) of Colorado Springs, CO, and Roger Hall (Stacie) of Grand Junction, CO; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Doris left behind an ocean of happy memories and touched the lives of all she knew in her own unique way. She will be greatly missed. Her family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the special people who cared for her these past few years. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 22, at Appleton Christian Church, 2510 I-70 Frontage Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , P.O.
