Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, at Fleming United Methodist Church with Pastor Al Strauss and Keith Hudiburgh officiat ing. Burial will follow at Fleming Cemetery Funeral arrangements were made by Tennant Funeral Home in Haxtun. Mrs. McDaniel was born March 16, 1909, to Clyde Everett and Mable Theodora (Lippitt) Goff on the family farm near Darlington, Mo. The family moved to a farm 3-and-a-half miles due south of Fleming in 1920. She graduated from Fleming High School in 1925, attended Parks School of Business, and then worked as a secretary at Fleming School for two years. On Aug. 19, 1929, she married Frank Edmund McDaniel. The couple lived in the New Haven area for several years, before she, her husband and toddler Deryl moved to a farm in the Fleming area in the spring of 1934, where they remained until last year. She was a charter member of the Thursday Study Club, where she enjoyed many long-lasting friendships over the years, and was also a member of United Methodist Women. She was a 10- year-plus breast cancer survivor. She is survived by four sons: Deryl McDaniel and wife Janet, of Greensburg, Pa., Keith McDaniel and wife Donna, of Fort Collins, Richard McDaniel and wife Gay, of Haxtun, and Lowell McDaniel and friend Marilyn Geiger, of Littleton; nine grandsons: Brian McDaniel, of Bowling Green, Ky., Michael McDaniel, of Lancaster, N.Y., Gregory McDaniel, of Fishers, md., Kevin McDaniel, of Fleming, Kent McDaniel, of Greeley, Justin McDaniel, of Sun City Ariz., Scott McDaniel, of Everett, Wash., Randy McDaniel, of Castle Rock, and Dale McDaniel, of Aurora; granddaughter Amy McDaniel, of Frisco; nine great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Mary Goff, of Fleming. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank McDaniel; her father Clyde Everett Goff; her mother Theo; sister Evelyn Lucille Reed; brother Everett Wendell Goff; and daughter-in-law Carol (Schmid) McDaniel. Memorials may be made to the Fleming United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the charity of the donor's choice.
