Description	:	Doris Dannen, 76, of Lennox died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at the Sanford Centennial Hospice Cottage, Sioux Falls. Doris Reta VanBuren was born on September 23, 1937 on farm near Lennox, South Dakota the daughter of Rients and Gertie (Naatjes) VanBuren. She attended school in Lennox and graduated from Lennox High School in 1955. She worked at the Lennox bakery and the Valley Exchange Bank in Lennox for ﬁve years. Read More	Doris Dannen, 76, of Lennox died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at the Sanford Centennial Hospice Cottage, Sioux Falls. Doris Reta VanBuren was born on September 23, 1937 on farm near Lennox, South Dakota the daughter of Rients and Gertie (Naatjes) VanBuren. She attended school in Lennox and graduated from Lennox High School in 1955. She worked at the Lennox bakery and the Valley Exchange Bank in Lennox for ﬁve years. On March 28, 1961 she married George Dannen. One son, Daniel was born to this union. The couple farmed south of Lennox. After retiring from farming they continued to live on their farm. Doris was a member of the Delaware Reformed Church where she taught Sunday school and Bible school. She enjoyed sewing and was very good at it. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1976, her father in 1999, her step-mother Hilcarrie (Kate) Van Buren in 2008 and step-brother, Roger Jongeling in 2008. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, George, Lennox; son: Dan Dannen, Hur- ley and three grandchildren: Analis, Anthony and Natascha; step-sisters: Marlys (Gordon) Bergjord, Tea, Lois (LeRoy) Ebling, Monroe and Ruth Nie- man, Spokane Valley, WA as well as other relatives and friends.
