Read More	Dorothy Anna Hron: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice Baraboo News-Republic (WI) - Wednesday, January 7, 2009 Deceased Name: Dorothy Anna Hron Dorothy Hron of Baraboo passed away peacefully, at the age of 91, at the Hospice House in Baraboo, on Jan. 4, 2009, after a battle with Lymphoma. She was born in rural Wagner, S.D. to Joseph and Anna (Melmer) Payer on Feb. 6, 1917. She was united in marriage to John Hron on Aug. 14, 1934. They lived on a farm south before moving into the town of Wagner and four years later to Ravinia. In 1959, they moved to Vermillion, S.D., where she worked in the Food Service and Custodial Services for Alpha Delta Sorority, University of South Dakota and the Vermillion Public Schools for a total of 32 years. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and the Senior Citizens. In 2004, she moved to Baraboo, to be near her daughter. She lived in the Meadow Ridge Assisted Living facility until her move to the Hospice House. Dorothy will be remembered by her loving family for the love of her home and her superb cooking, baking, sewing and gardening. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Thelma Sorsensen; three brothers, Adam, Wesley, and Laddie Payer; and three sisters, Mary and Eleanor Payer and Martha Cockerham. She is survived by two daughters; one son; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; as well as her sister, Ann (Herb) Spry of California City, Calif.; her brother, Adolph Payer of Omaha, Neb.; a sister-in-law, Esther Payer and a brother-in-law, Joe Hron, both of Wagner, S.D.; other relatives and friends. A prayer service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Meadow Ridge Assisted Living in Baraboo, with Father Larry Bakke officiating. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion, S.D. with Father John Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in the Vermillion Cemetery. The Redlin Funeral Home in Baraboo is assisting the family.
