Description	:	Dorothy Daye (McGinness) McCullough, 94, Lewistown, and formerly of Abingdon and Licking, Mo., died at 9:44 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at Heartland Health Care Center in Canton. She was born July 17, 1917, in Maryville, Mo., the daughter of Reason L. and Mabel (Wilson) McGinness. She married John Dean McCullough on Dec. 31, 1937, in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2000. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jimmie Dean McCullough; six sisters including her twin sister, Doris Draper; and three brothers. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Carol Jean Cozad of Lewistown and Shirley Maxine Beavon of Lomax; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Leroy McGinness of Maryville, Mo. She grew up in Maryville and later moved to Abingdon where she worked at Blue Bell Factory for 23 years. She and her husband then moved to the Licking area in March 1966. She worked at Lee Overall Factory in Houston, Mo., for 13 years, retiring in June 1979. She was a former member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Abingdon and attended Lewistown United Methodist Church the past 12 years. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, in Abingdon Cemetery. The Rev. Deryck Sonaram of Lewistown United Methodist Church will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Lomax Food Pantry or Lewistown United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
