Ariail, Jr., and a little daughter, Carolyn Ariail, besides her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Giles of Graniteville, and two brothers, T. C. Giles of Warrenville and W. A. Giles, 3rd, of Bath. Besides these, scarcely if any less stricken, are the father of Dr. Ariail, Rev. J. W. Ariail, of the South Carolina Conference and brothers and sisters, among whom are Dr. J. M. Ariail, of Columbia College, and Rev. Warren G. Ariail, of the South Carolina Conference, to all of whom Mrs. Ariail had endeared herself as true daughter and sister. Mrs. Ariail was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Giles, of Graniteville, S. C., where she was born and reared. She came to Greenville when her husband, Dr. C. C. Ariail, located there in 1919 for the practice of his profession. As her gifted young husband through his skill as a physician won his way in the city, the wife with him won hers into the hearts of the people, as beautifully shown in tributes paid her. She was a member of the Buncombe Street Methodist church and was an active worker there especially in the Edna David Missionary Society. She was active also in civic service and interested in the Crescent Community club. Her devotion to her church was marked and church circles pay tribute to the lovely Christian character. She was one of the most beautiful of Christian characters, deep rooted in her convictions and consecration to her Lord, serving Him humbly and consistently but without display.
