They lived for short periods of time in several small towns in southwest Iowa before settling in Red Oak, Iowa, in 1939 where they resided until 1947, then moved to Emerson, Iowa, and in 1966 to Omaha. Neb. Dorothy was the mother of two daughters. Mary Annette (Mrs. Uwe Kladde) of Omaha. Neb. and Judith Marilyn (Mrs. Dick Kroesel of Stockton, Calif. She had one grandson, Rurkley Uwe Kladde of Omaha. She is also survived by her husband, Maurice E. Geith of Omaha; two sons-in-law, Uwe Ktadde of Omaha and Dick Kroese of Stockton; three sisters, Florence Cronwall of rural Nodaway. Katharine Mundt of Rock Island, Ill. and Marguerite Smith of Denver, Colo., other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church in Villisca, Iowa, Jan. 7 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Mary Hansen and Rev. Michael Roys officiating. Burial was in the Nodaway Cemetery. Music was provided by Mrs. Maria Nelson, vocalist. accompanied by Mrs. Judy Havick. Pallbearers were Robert Johnson, Danny Kernen, Joe Kernen, David and John Kernen, Jeffrey Schulz, Kurt Schulz, and Kent Webb. Honorary pallbearers were Byron Beeson, Glen Bergren, Wayne Firkins, Maurice Gillespie, Lee Honeyman, Richard Plumb, Ted Cairns, and Paul Pellett. Flower bearers were Mrs. Wilma Blazek. Mrs. Shirley Honeyman, Mrs. Leona Firkins and Mrs. Margaret Webb. Mrs. Ella Gillespie was in charge of the register. Adams County Free Press, January 19, 1984, page 2
