Silas Overholser and Rev. Harlan Kishpaugh. The singing was by Iola Orme, soloist and by a quartet, the members of which were Mrs. Edan Everett, Mrs. Forest L. Means, Roy B. Means, and Forest L. Mollie Birdie Arthur, daughter of John N. and Martin Arthur, was born October 31, 1873 at Brooks, Iowa and was 71 years old at her death. She was united in marriage to William David Jarman, on December 22, 1892 and they went to Nodaway to make their home. Nine children were born to them, tow of whom, Silas and William died in infancy. The surviving children are Mrs. Mary Kernen, Nodaway; Mrs. Marguerite Smith, Mondamin; Mrs. Katherine Geith, Denison; Mrs. Florence Cornwall, Ruthven; Mrs. Dorthy Geith, Red Oak; Paul H. Jarman, Guthrie Center; and Harold L., Goshen, Indiana. Mrs. Jarman was the youngest of a family of nine children and is survived by two brothers, Chas N. Arthur of Croning, and Jake Arthur of Sand Point, Idaho and one sister, Mrs. Matthew Darrah of Corning. She also leaves 18 grandchildren. She united with the Presbyterian Church as a young woman and was a devoted Christian and a faithful member. In 1942, Mr. and Mrs. Jarman were privileged to celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary. For ten years Mrs. Jarman was a newspaper correspondent and the opportunity that work gave her to visit with her neighbors and friends made it one of her most enjoyable pastimes. She had been in declining health for several years bot at no time ever lost her interest in her family and the world about her. Villisca Review, Thursday, July 26, 1945, page 4
