Description	:	DOROTHY JANE MOTZ, 93, of Loudonville, died surrounded by her family on Monday afternoon, March 27, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice of Wooster following a brief illness. Dot was born on September 15, 1923 in Newark and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Sarah (Borroway) Woolard. She was a 1942 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and Mt. Read More	DOROTHY JANE MOTZ, 93, of Loudonville, died surrounded by her family on Monday afternoon, March 27, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice of Wooster following a brief illness. Dot was born on September 15, 1923 in Newark and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Sarah (Borroway) Woolard. She was a 1942 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and Mt. Vernon Business College and moved to Concord, North Carolina to work while she awaited the return of Dick Motz of Jelloway from WWII. They were married on September 9, 1945 and made their home in Loudonville. While raising their two daughters, Dot was a member of Mother’s Club, a Girl Scout leader and worked at Loudonville Milling Company and then Thompson Paper Products as a secretary. She was a member of Trinity Community Church, Loudonville, the Bridge Club and the Ashland YMCA, actively water-walking and exercising with her group of ladies well into her eighties. Dot and Dick were members of the ‘Copus Hill’ Model A Club and enjoyed driving their 1932 Model B automobile throughout many states. Dot is survived by her husband of 71 years, Richard M. Motz; two daughters: Beverly Badger and Judy Koppert, both of Loudonville; five grandchildren: Mike & Chastity Badger of McMinnville, Tennessee, Brent & Stephanie Badger of Loudonville, Erin & Thomas Weaver of Killbuck, Bryan and Jennifer Koppert of Loudonville and Sheila and Steve Boardman of Ft. Mills, South Carolina; seven great-grandchildren: Grace and Sarah Badger, Matthew and Ryan Weaver, Justin Viola and Brandon Schmidt and Madison Cline; and one sister, Carol E. Woolard of Greensboro, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Martha Grace Biggs, Evelyn Rowley and Helen J. Davis. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning, March 31 at 11:00 a.m. in the LINDSEY FUNERAL HOME, LOUDONVILLE with Pastor John Temple officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Loudonville Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Lindsey Funeral Home.
