She was 96 years of age. Dorothy was born February 2, 1913 in Bertrand, Nebraska, the second of four children of Daniel H. and Emma (Fastenau) Rohrbacher. She received her education at Bertrand, Nebraska graduating from Bertrand, Nebraska High School with the class of 1931. She was 96 years of age. Dorothy was born February 2, 1913 in Bertrand, Nebraska, the second of four children of Daniel H. and Emma (Fastenau) Rohrbacher. She received her education at Bertrand, Nebraska graduating from Bertrand, Nebraska High School with the class of 1931. On February 21, 1932 she was united in marriage to Kenneth LeRoy Jackson and to this union one daughter, Elva Gay was born. The family made their home in Holdrege,Nebraska where Dorothy was the manager of the Ready-to-Wear Department of J.C. Penney in Holdrege, Nebraska for thirty-five years. On October 9, 1989 she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth. In October of 2005, Dorothy moved to Omaha, Nebraska to be near her family. She enjoyed the friendship bonds formed while residing at the Waterford Assisted Living. While in Holdrege, Nebraska Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed china painting, crafts, music and loved spending time with her family. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Elva "Gay" Colanino of Omaha, Nebraska; six grandchildren: Ronn Colanino of Atlanta, Georgia, Teri Colanino of Allegany, New York, Sheri Charleston of Omaha, Nebraska, Jeff Colanino of Maiden, North Carolina, Tony Colanino and his wife, Leslie of Delano, Minnesota and Kim Brown and her husband, Stu of Omaha, Nebraska; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends including dear friend, Gloria Feusner of Holdrege, Nebraska. Dorothy was welcomed into The Heavenly Home, by her husband, Kenneth Jackson and parents, Daniel and Emma Rohrbacher; all of her siblings and son-in-law, Subby Colanino.
