Description	:	Fourth child of Francis Tilghman and Eva Elizabeth Taylor Reis. Never married Avid reader, family historian, photographer and loved to do needlework. Dorothy, "Dolly" to us, was born on the family farm near Richfield, Nebraska and grew to womanhood here. She was educated in the Bell Rural School east of their farm. She lived all her life with her parents and sister, Vera Hotz. Dolly was a quite person, she loved to read and be by herself. She was a great horse rider and loved the horses, worked hard with all the family chores, milking cows for extra income with her mother. They all worked in harmony with all the day to day tasks, cooking, cleaning, canning and sewing. She always had her camera to capture all the important events and each visitor that came. Thanks to her we have a lot of pictures recording the lives of the families. Dolly liked to embroider and gave each of the family a set of beautifully embroidered tea towels when they got married. She was the family historian and helped with all the family records that she could. She was an avid reader and had an extensive library. She attended the Methodist Church faithfully and was a devote christian. Dorothy passed away May 5, 1987 at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 12 days.
