Surviving are her 2 daughters Brenda (Channell) Pennington and Ginger (Channell) Baringer. Her parents were Carl Henry and Edith Louise (Sams) Brown, and also preceded in death by siblings Edna Louise (Brown) McBride and Earl Brown. She was a member of The Plains United Methodist Church. She graduated from Chauncey Dover High School. Through the years she worked at Athens Home and Commomwealth Telephone Company as a bookkeeper and a IBM operator, Athens Pharmacy, Woolworth Store, and at the Athens High School in social studies... Dottie was a member of the Athens Chapter 175 Order of the Eastern Star and a life long member of the Sigma Phi Gamma Society, Alpha Tau Chapter. She died at her home.
