Description	:	Dorothy M. Christensen, 77, of St. Paul died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Heritage Living Center in St. Paul. Dorothy was born June 10, 1933, at Benkelman to Charles and Lois (Sherbondy) Phifer. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Christensen. Survivors are: daughter, Pat Oldham of St. Paul; step sister, Kennetha Perry; sister-in-law, Elsie Phifer; brother-in-law, Clifford Christensen; many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Christensen, 77, of St. Paul died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Heritage Living Center in St. Paul. Dorothy was born June 10, 1933, at Benkelman to Charles and Lois (Sherbondy) Phifer. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Christensen. Survivors are: daughter, Pat Oldham of St. Paul; step sister, Kennetha Perry; sister-in-law, Elsie Phifer; brother-in-law, Clifford Christensen; many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Dorothy's father passed away when she was very young. She lived in the Benkelman area for a while with her mother and brother. Her mother remarried and the family moved in the Bayard area for awhile and then the Sidney area for several years. Dorothy attended school at a small town called West Fork. Being raised on the farm most of her life, Dorothy had worked in beet and potato fields in the western part of the state. The family moved to the Fayetteville, Ark., area when she was a teenager and she worked on the farm. Dorothy was united in marriage to Paul Oldham in August of 1952 in Arkansas. To this union a baby girl was born, Lois Patricia "Pat" Oldham. She moved back to Nebraska after she was divorced. Dorothy worked as a house keeper in the Lincoln and Seward area. Dorothy was united in marriage to Willard Christensen on Sept. 1, 1968, at Dannevirke. They were married for 28 years. Willard passed away on Nov. 15, 1996. Dorothy and her daughter moved to St. Paul where she has lived since. Dorothy was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Dannevirke Dandie's Extension Club.
