Funeral services were held Saturday, June 7, 2003, at 20 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Miller with the Rev. Brian Jones officiating. Burial was in the G.A.R. Cemetery, Miller. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 7, 2003, at 20 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Miller with the Rev. Brian Jones officiating. Burial was in the G.A.R. Cemetery, Miller. Casketbearers were Steve Stobbs, Tricia Olson, Andy Stobbs, Kelle Hansen, Kaylene Ingalls and Elizabeth Lee. Dorothy Ravenscroft was born November 30, 1915 at Sparta, Wis., to Arvy and Clara (Brown) Ravenscroft. She moved with her family to Vayland in 1919 where Arvy ran the General Store. She graduated from Wessington High School with the Class of 1933. On August 18, 1941, she married Ed Stobbs in Fremont, Neb. They lived their entire married life in Miller. She worked at Johnson's Grocery Store in Miller for many years. She was a member of Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors and the Jolly Stitchers Club. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake cookies and cakes. She worked for many years at Stobbs Oil and Sales Company as the bookkeeper. Since 1997, she had been a resident of Prairie Good Samaritan Living Center in Miller. Survivors include three sons and daughters-n-law, Gene (Kathy Croll) Stobbs of Brooklyn Park Minn., Keith (Carol Macer) Stobbs of Miller and Larry (Paula Navara) Stobbs of North Platte, Neb.; six grandchildren, Steve (Julie) Stobbs of Robbinsdale, Minn., Tricia (Marty) Olson of Shakopee, Minn, Andy Stobbs of Brooklyn Park, Minn, Kelle (Gaylen) Hansen of Sioux Falls, Kaylene (Bryan) Ingalls of Sioux Falls and Elizabeth Lee of Alexandria, Va.; three great-grandchildren, Grace Emily and Cole Alexander Stobbs of Robbinsdale, Minn., and Miah Rae Hansen of Sioux Falls; three sisters, Jean Gard of Miller, Velda Welbes of Miles City, Mont., and Elaine (Ed) Fritzche of Wessington.
