Ravenscroft was born January 24, 1919 in Wessington, S.D., to Arvy and Clara (Brown) Ravenscroft. When she was nine months old, she moved to Vayland, S.D., with her parents and two older sisters, Dorothy and Velda, where her parents operated the Vayland Store. She attended the Vayland Grade School and graduated from Wessington High School in 1937. She attended the Aberdeen Cosmetology School and worked as a beautician until 1946 when she married Milo J. Siegling in St. Lawrence on March 1, 1946. They farmed northeast of Vayland until November 1976 when they moved to their new home west of St. Lawrence. She was a 50-year member of The Order of Eastern Star and Hand County Extension Club. She was a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. She attended the St. Lawrence Community Church and was a member of the Friendship Senior Center in Miller, Beulah Ladies Aid and the Jolly Stitchers Club. She bowled for the Coral Lanes Wednesday night league and Golden Girls on Friday afternoons. She helped make quilts for mission at Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sons, Ronald (Monica) Siegling of St. Lawrence and Bruce (Bonnie) Siegling of Watertown; a daughter, Mary Davis of Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Jolene, Kyle, Andrew "A.J.", Jimi Lyn and Tanner Siegling; four sisters, Dorothy Stobbs of Miller, Velda Welbes of Miles City, Montona, Jean Gard of Miller, Elaine (Edward) Fritzsche of Miller; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milo, in 1983; a daughter, Gail, in 1985; her parents, grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
