She was born in Columbiana on Jan. 29, 1899 a daughter of the late Henry and Eva Strickler Wining. All of her life had been spent in the Columbiana community where she operated a beauty shop for 35 years. She was a member of the Columbiana Methodist church and the Easter Star chapter of that village. On Aug. 15, 1917 she was married to Carl Stacey, Sr., and on that date this year their Golden Wedding anniversary was quietly observed. Surviving in addition to her husband, who is chairman of the board of elections of Columbiana county is one son, Carl L. Stacey, Jr., Clerk of Courts of Columbiana county who resides in Columbiana. There are three daughters, Mrs. Alice Ives of Plantation, Fla., Mrs. Dawn Hill of Twinsburgh, Ohio and Mrs. Dorothy Thomas of Akron. A sister Mrs. Hazel Hooper lives in Washington, D.C. and a brother, Vance Wining lives in Columbiana. Eleven grandchildren remain. Private services will be held at 1:30 Monday at the Warrick funeral home in Columbiana with the Rev. Russell Linton in charge. Burial will be made in Columbiana cemetery. No calling hours will be observed. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the Heart or Diabetics association of Columbiana county.
