Dorsey grew to manhood near Collins. he spent most of his life in St. Clair County. He was married to Miss Myrtle McCoy the 8th day of February 1912. To this union two sons were born, Delmar and Porter. He was later married to Mrs. Dovie Wombles of Sedalia, MO, May 19, 1928, who was by his bedside during all his sickness. He said he had no fear of death, that he was ready to go. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Birdsong, after which the body was tenderly laid to rest in the Holsapple cemetery by the side of his father. Dearest Dorsey who has left us, Thy sweet voice we loved is still; A vacant place is in our home, That never can be filled."
