Description	:	Douglas William Garey, son of Bill and Bonnie Firkins Garey was born at Clarinda Municipal Hospial, Clarinda, Iowa on March 8, 1968 and passed away June 14, 1980 at the age of 22 years, 8 months, 8 days, following a tractor accident. He was a 1977 Villisca Community High School graduate. After persuing his lifelong dream of living in Colorado for 1 1/2 years, he returned to Iowa and farmed with his father and brother. Read More	Douglas William Garey, son of Bill and Bonnie Firkins Garey was born at Clarinda Municipal Hospial, Clarinda, Iowa on March 8, 1968 and passed away June 14, 1980 at the age of 22 years, 8 months, 8 days, following a tractor accident. He received enjoyment from them and made many friends. Doug always had time for a child and was greatly admired by his eigh nieces and nephews. Survivors include his parents, Bill and Bonnie Garey of Villisca; four sisters, Mrs. Mike (Linda) Schrader of Westboro, Mrs. Douglas (Shirley) Maxwell of Nodaway, Mrs. Douglas (Sandy) Peterson of Corning, and Cathy Garey of Longmont, Colorado; two brothers, Allan and wife Phyllis and Randy and wife Jolene of Villisca, eight nieces and nephews, Melissa and Michelle Maxwell, Angie and Bryan Schrader, Sheila and Jusin Garey, Lori Peterson, and Travis Garey; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Firkins of Villisca and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca June 16, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Howard Wells officiating. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery.
