Description	:	Anamosa, Ia. - Dr. Benjamin F. Erb, 83, died Wednesday at his home here. Services are tentatively set for Saturday, pending the arrival of his only son, Lawarence, from California. Dr. Erb was born Oct. 14, 1867 at Muscatine. After graduating from Muscatine High school, he entered the University of Iowa dental college and later was graduated from the Ohio College of Dental Surgery at Cincinnati. Read More	Anamosa, Ia. - Dr. Benjamin F. Erb, 83, died Wednesday at his home here. Services are tentatively set for Saturday, pending the arrival of his only son, Lawarence, from California. Dr. Erb was born Oct. 14, 1867 at Muscatine. After graduating from Muscatine High school, he entered the University of Iowa dental college and later was graduated from the Ohio College of Dental Surgery at Cincinnati. He opened an office at Lisbon in 1889 and came to Anamosa in July, 1893. He retired in 1949 after 60 years of practice, 50 of them in the same office here. He was a trustee of the Anamosa public library and president of the board for 23 years. He was treasurer of the Anamosa Methodis church for 12 years and a member of the Masonic lodge. Survivors include his wife, the former Alma Kurtz; one daughter, Mrs. Emily Thomas, in Indiana; one son, Lawrence, in California, and four grandchildren. He was preceded by a daughter. Published in the Dubuque Telegraph Herald, June 21, 1951 on page 30. Anamosa - Services for Dr. Benjamin F. Erb, 83, who died Wednesday, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Goettsch funeral home. Burial in Greenwood cemetery, Muscatine. Published in the Cedar Rapids Gazette, June 22, 1951, page 3.
