Dr. Aerni acquired her early education in a little suburban school just three miles north of Columbus, and having completed the course of instruction there, decided to enter the Columbus high school but illness prevented the completion of her course. She afterward studied dressmaking, being graduated from the Women's College of Scientific Dressmaking at La Crosse, Wisconsin, on the 22d of May, 1909.
