Daniel Wayne Henry ----- The following obituary appeared in either the Colfax or Whitman, WA newspaper: Services Held For Physician Mrs. Daniel W. Henry, 1209 S. W. 6th Avenue, has returned to her home in Portland following funeral services of her late husband, Dr. Daniel W. Henry, at Endicott, Wash. Dr. Henry, physician at Endicott for 34 years, died of a heart attack on November 10 at Santa Barbara, Cal., where he and Mrs. Henry were visiting the family of their son, Captain Randall Henry, now a surgeon with the 6th armored division of Patton's 3d army in France. Funeral services were held at Endicott, with interment at Colfax. Dr. Henry was born in Hamilton, Pa., July 21, 1879, and was graduated from the Jefferson medical school in Philadelphia in 1905. His first practice was with his brother, the late Dr. Byron D. Henry, in Endicott. He remained at Endicott until his retirement five years ago. The last three years he had lived in Portland. He married Ethel Person in St. John, Wash., August 29, 1906. Pioneer Whitman county physician, he was a life member of the Whitman County Medical association, the American Medical association, the Masonic lodge, the Shrine and the Knights of Pythias. Surviving are his widow, Ethel, Portland; five children, four of whom are doctors, and 11 grandchildren. Three doctor sons are Captain Robert Travis Henry, head of the ophthalmological department of the 4[several digits/letters at right side of clipping cut off] general hospital unit now in France; Captain Randall William Henry, a surgeon with the 6th armored division of Patton's 3d army in France, and P[several letters at right side of clipping cut off] Daniel W. Henry, senior at the University of Oregon medical school. Also a doctor is daughter, Margaret Henry, ophthalmologist in San Francisco. All four are graduates of the Oregon medical school. A fourth son, Byron Taylor Henry, is mayor of Colfax.
