He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1951, and practiced children's dentistry until his retirement in 1987. Don was a member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pedodontics, and served as president of the Linn County Dental Society and treasurer of the University District Dental Society. He married Martha E. Johns on Nov. 17, 1945, in Wichita, Kan. He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1951, and practiced children's dentistry until his retirement in 1987. Don was a member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pedodontics, and served as president of the Linn County Dental Society and treasurer of the University District Dental Society. He was a World War II veteran, serving as a navigator in the Army Air Corps. For 41 years, he was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he served on the Board of Elders and taught Sunday school. For the past five years he and Martha had delivered Meals on Wheels. He was preceded in death by his parents.
