She married Don Griffith in 1945. They were happily married for 49 years before his passing in 1994. Martha was a member, since 1953, of Chapter JI of P.E.O., and many, many bridge clubs. In her own words, "I've had a wonderful life, a loving and devoted family, and many dear friends, including especially my good friend, Allen Berndt."
