Description	:	Dr. H.M. Lovett, son of H.A. Lovett and his wife Hattie, was born at Neal, Kansas, February 9, 1896. He came to Eureka with his parents when a child. He was educated in the Eureka public schools. In 1922 he graduated from the Ohio State University with a degree in veterinary surgery. He has practiced veterinary medicine in Eureka every since his graduation. May 13, 1923, he was united in marriage to Miss Gertrude Frieda Fischer at El Dorado, Kansas. He came to Eureka with his parents when a child. He was educated in the Eureka public schools. In 1922 he graduated from the Ohio State University with a degree in veterinary surgery. He has practiced veterinary medicine in Eureka every since his graduation. May 13, 1923, he was united in marriage to Miss Gertrude Frieda Fischer at El Dorado, Kansas. Three children were born to them; Ted A., Helen and Max Alwyn. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Eureka and the Greenwood County Cattlemen's Assciation. He died Saturday, March 3, 1945, at the Basham Hospital at 4:14 a.m. Dr. Lovett was well known in this section of our country, He was friendly, helpful, and a good citizen. Everyone who knew him liked him. He had many friends and will be greatly missed in our community, He is survived by his wife and three children; Ted A. Lovett, U.S.N.R., Jacksonville, Florida; Helen Lovett, a student at Midland College, Fremont, Nebraska; Max Alwyn Lovett of the home; one sister, Mrs. Frances Barber, of Eureka; one brother, Claude of San Angelo, Texas. Funeral services were held Monday morning, March 5, at 10 a.m. from the Baird Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert E. Gaston, pastor of Christ's Lutheran Church, condcuted the service.
