Read More	Dr. Kenneth Faber February 25, 1926 — September 7, 1995 Dr. Kenneth Faber, 69, of George and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, died Thursday, September 7, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital of Injuries suffered in an automobile accident south of Orange City. Services will be this afternoon (Tuesday) at 1 p.m. at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in George with the Rev. Daniel Jenks and the Rev. Charles Tefft officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in rural Hull. Faber was born on February 25, 1926, in Hull, the son of Jacob "Jack" and Maria Elizabeth (Lutjens) Faber. He was raised in Hull and while attending Hull High School he played on two state-tournament basketball teams, graduating in 1944. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in England, France and Germany. After his discharge, he attended Western Union College in Le Mars and later Iowa State College in Ames, graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1951. On July 22, 1951, he married Margaret Lee Lockridge at Charilon. He began his practice in Hull, with Dr. H.P. Bolks, later opening his own practice in Rock Valley. While in Rock Valley, he was active in the Boy Scouts. In 1957, the couple moved to Ogden, where he purchased a practice. He was active in the Lions Club and Masons and served on the Ogden Community School Board, including a term as president. He was also an active member of the Ogden Community United Methodist Church where he served on numerous boards and was a member of the choir. In 1973, the couple moved to George, where he Joined the George Veterinary Clinic, practicing there until retiring in 1988. He was a charter member of the Kiwanis Club of George and was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, where he served on numerous boards, and was a member of the choir and the Men's Group. His first wife died on April 24, 1991, in George. On August 14, 1992, he married Phyllis Irene (De Roos) MacKenzie at Fort Lauderdale, where he was an associate member of First Presbyterian Church and sang in its cathedral choir. Faber was a member of the American and Iowa Veterinary Medical Associations. He was a frequent soloist at various functions. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jeffrey Faber and his wife Kathy, of Le Mars and Torn Faber of Tucson, Arizona; two daughters, Jane and her husband, Mike Motemaden, of Germantown, Maryland, and Katherine and her husband, Andy McDonald, of Altoona; three grandchildren, Emily Faber, and David and Lila Motemaden: two brothers, Dr. Wayne Faber and Dr. Donald Faber, both of Le Mars, nephews, nieces and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a niece. Sioux Center News 1995-09-12.
