He was born in Fairfax County, where he attended public schools, and was graduated from the George Washington University School of Medicine in 1918. Dr. Mason interned at George Washington Hospital and was a resident at Columbia Hospital. He did graduate work in Vienna, Austria, in 1931. He belonged to the District Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the Washington Urological Society, and was a member of the Army Navy Country Club. Surviving are his wife, Evlyne Brewer Mason, with whom he lived at 4716 Ellicott St. NW; a sister, Ethel L. Mason of Bethesda, and three brothers, the Rev. Phillip Mason of Doswell, Va., T. Bentley Mason of Milan, Mich., and Worcester Mason of Toledo, Ohio. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the S. H. Hines Co. Funeral Home, 2901 14th St. NW., Burial will be in Beallsville, Md. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be sent as contributions to the Garfield Hospital Cancer Center.
