Pierre married Anna Maria (Evitts) Cherbonnier (6 Apr 1826 - 11 Dec 1911) on 21 Dec 1843 in Caroline County, Maryland. Pierre married Anna Maria (Evitts) Cherbonnier (6 Apr 1826 - 11 Dec 1911) on 21 Dec 1843 in Caroline County, Maryland. In the 1850 and 1860 U.S. Censuses, Pierre was living in Caroline County, Maryland. In 1867-68, Pierre was living at 72 Saratoga Street in Baltimore City, Maryland. In the 1870 U.S. Census, Pierre was still living in Baltimore City. Pierre wrote an editorial to the "Baltimore Sun" in 1871 for the use of Belladonna as a prophylactic against Scarlet Fever. 1874, The Rural Carolinian: "For the Prevention of Scarlet Fever - Dr. Cherbonnier, a graduate of the University of Paris, and stated to be one of the most skillful physicians of Baltimore, gives the following recipe as a preventive of scarlet fever: Extract of belladonna, two grains; cinnamon water, one ounce; alcohol, ten drops. Give two or three times a day. Dose, one drop for every year of the age of the child; ten drops will be the maximum dose." In 1877, Pierre was living at 76 Park Street in Baltimore City, Maryland. In 1878 and in the 1880 U.S. Census, Pierre was living in Easton, Talbot County, Maryland. Democratic Advocate, Westminster, Maryland 16 June 1883 Dr. Pierre Ovide Cherbonnier died in Talbot county on Tuesday, aged 66 years. He was a native of New Orleans, and came to Baltimore, where he practiced his profession for some time, but removed to Talbot county some years ago. He was a brother-in-law of Judge Bartol, and leave a wife and two children.
