Description	:	Goodhue Funeral Held Here Sept. 10 Funeral services were held at the Zulauf-Denny funeral home in Superior, Sept. 10 for Ray Louis Goodhue, Rev. B.H. Hart officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery. The following obituary was read at the services: Ray Louis Goodhue was born, Aug. 20, 1896 at Superior, Nebr., and passed away at the Veteran's hospital, Aug 25, 1945, at the age of 49 years and 5 days. He was united in marriage to M. Elizabeth Chesterfield, May 29, 1922, at Hutchinson, Kans. Mr. Goodhue was raised in the Superior community and lived here up until the first World war.... The following obituary was read at the services: Ray Louis Goodhue was born, Aug. 20, 1896 at Superior, Nebr., and passed away at the Veteran's hospital, Aug 25, 1945, at the age of 49 years and 5 days. He was united in marriage to M. Elizabeth Chesterfield, May 29, 1922, at Hutchinson, Kans. Mr. Goodhue was raised in the Superior community and lived here up until the first World war. He was graduated from Superior high school in 1916. He served his country during World War I. He attended the Kansas City Dental college, where he was graduated in 1919, practiced in Montana one year, and 25 years in Kansas. He was a member of the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, and of the First Methodist church (sic) of Superior. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. M. Elizabeth Goodhue of Wichita, Kans., his mother, Mrs. John A. Johnston of Superior, one sister, Mrs. Erma J. Worden of Superior, and many relatives and friends. Mr. Goodhue lived a consistent Christian life, and highly respected by those who knew him. He leaves a host of friends to mourn his passing. Goodhue, a dentist in Nickerson for 21 years, died at the Veterans hospital at Lincoln, Neb., the funeral being held at Superior, Neb. Dr. Goodhue left Nickerson last April to practice dentistry at Macksville, but because of illness left the first of June for Superior to be with relatives, later being taken to the Veterans hospital.
