Johnston, 83, of Superior. She had been a resident of this county for 67 years. The Rev. Mr. Lincoln B. Justice of Nelson officiated and burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery at Superior. Mae B. Johnston, daughter of Myron Oscar and Alice Trudell Burdick, was born in 1875 on a homestead near Miltonvale, Kansas, and died January 2, 1959, in Brodstone Memorial Hospital at Superior, Nebraska. She would have been 84 on March 24. She moved to Superior with her parents in 1890, and this has been her home during these 68 years with the exception of a year spent in Colorado. On December 24, 1892, she became the bride of Louis P. Goodhue. To them were born a daughter, Erma J. Worden, and a son, Dr. Ray Louis Goodhue. In 1901 Mr. and Mrs. Goodhue built the hotel in Superior which bore their name, successfully operating it until 1911. Mr. Goodhue died in 1919 and the son, Ray, in 1945. Also preceding her were a brother, Willard L., and one sister, Delian. Her marriage to John A. Johnston of Superior in 1926 ended with his death in 1937. Mrs. Johnston was a member of the Christian Science Church of Superior and the Order of Eastern Star, also in Superior. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Dorsey Worden of Superior; a sister, Mrs. Dora Johnson of Superior; two grandchildren, Mrs. Genevieve Worden Scherzinger of Nelson, and Louis Worden of Superior; two great grandchildren, Kathleen and Patrick Worden; a step-daughter, Mrs. Mildred Cellars, and three step-grandsons, Robert, Ray and Richard Cellars, all of Geneva.
