Born January 16, 1933, at Friendsville, Md., he was a son of the late George Dallas and Mae (Fike) Kisner. He was preceded in death by a half sister, Waneta Metheny and three half brothers, Albert Kisner, Denzil and Glenn Sines. Dr. Kisner held his Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Tennessee. Read More	Dr. Raymond Louis Kisner, Ph.D Date of Death - June 7, 2003 Dr. Raymond Louis Kisner, 70, of Troy, Alabama, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 7, 2003, at his residence. Born January 16, 1933, at Friendsville, Md., he was a son of the late George Dallas and Mae (Fike) Kisner. He was preceded in death by a half sister, Waneta Metheny and three half brothers, Albert Kisner, Denzil and Glenn Sines. Dr. Kisner held his Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Tennessee. He earned his M.S. degree from Tennessee and his B.S. degree from Milligan College, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He began his teaching career at the University of Tennessee in 1960. In 1964, he joined the faculty at Mississippi State College for Women. In 1967, he joined the Troy State University faculty as a professor of biology. He was named a full professor in 1970. He served as a member of the Troy State Educational Resource Committee. Dr. Kisner is a member of Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities, Phi Kappa Phi National scholarship society and Beta Beta National honor and professional fraternity in biological science. He was a member of First Christian Church, Friendsville. Surviving are one brother, Blane Kisner, Milan, Ill.; one half brother, Arlie Kisner, Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; and one half sister, Evelyn Thomas, Farmington, Pa. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
