Born Nov. 13, 1918, in Confluence, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Alvin G. and Mae (Fike) Sines. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Wayne Metheny, on May 29, 1965; two brothers, Glenn and Denzil Sines; and one stepbrother, Albert Kisner. She was a homemaker and lifetime member of the First Christian Church, Friendsville. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Wayne Metheny and Edward Eugene Metheny, both of Friendsville; one daughter, Sandra Lee Metheny, Friendsville; two half brothers, Dr. Raymond Kisner, Troy, Ala., and Blane Kisner, Milan, Ill.; one stepbrother, Arlie Kisner, Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; one stepsister, Evelyn Thomas, Farmington, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville. A service was conducted at the First Christian Church this morning, Thursday, Dec. 19, with the Rev. Galen Beitzel officiating.
