Description	:	Dr. Ronald Francis Maly, 79, of Euless, Texas and formerly of Crofton, NE passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at an assisted living facility in Euless, Texas A Memorial Mass will be St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton with Father Timothy Lange officiating. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Crofton with military services provided by the Crofton American Legion Post 128. Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren and all of his nieces and nephews. Wintz Funeral Home is charge of arrangements. Ron was born on May 30, 1933 in Crofton to Joseph and Theresa (Guenther) Maly. He was raised on a farm north of Crofton in a large family. He spent his first few years in High School attending Conception Seminary in Kansas, and returned to graduate from Crofton High School. Ron then attended St. Benedict's College in Atkinson, KS, where after 1 year he joined the Army in 1953 and spent a 1 year tour in Korea serving his country. After 4 years and a Honorable Discharge from the Army, he went back to St. Benedict's College to study Pre-Med where he met and married Eulalia Anton from Sedalia, MO. Ron then transferred to Creighton University in Omaha, NE where he received his M.D. After receiving his M.D. they moved to Des Moines, IA where he did his internship and started a General Practice. While in Des Moines they adopted their three children and began their family. Later, they moved to Oklahoma for his residency and then to Baytown, TX. In Baytown, he worked as a Physician for Exxon at their chemical refinery, where he specialized in Industrial Medicine. He and Eulalia then relocated their family to Crofton where they have always wanted to start a General Family Practice in the community where he was born and raised. There he lived his dream to be a "Black Bag Doctor" in his hometown doing house calls and delivering over 900 babies. In 1987, after their children were grown, they moved to the Dallas area where he worked in Occupational Medicine eventually retiring in Grand Prairie, TX. He received satisfaction in caring for people over the years and lived a very simple and humble life. He was always willing to help others and cherished his ability to give to those in need selflessly and has touched the lives of many. He enjoyed his grandchildren, reading, astronomy, working on cars, boating and flying airplanes in his younger years. He is survived by his children, Joseph (Kathy) Maly of Ashburn, VA; Raymond Maly of Texas; daughter Jennifer (Lee) McNamara of Grapevine, TX; 4 grandchildren, Lee and Maggie McNamara and Christopher and Allison Maly, a brother Charles (Mariellen) Maly, Crofton; 2 sisters Virginia Lange, Crofton; Dickie Burbach, Hartington and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron is preceded in death by his wife Eulalia on June 13, 2007 at the age of 69, parents Joseph and Theresa Maly, bothers Dr. James Maly, Paul Maly and sisters Genevieve Bender, Betty Becker and Geraldine Bruening.
