He was born February 5, 1943 in Ottumwa to Russell and Madeline V. Jones Luke. He married Linda Louise Crumes on April 10, 1971 and she preceded him in death on February 28, 2015. Dr. Luke was a 1961 graduate of Ottumwa High School and of the Illinois College of Podiatry in 1967. He practiced in Kirksville, MO for a few years and then opened the Albia Rd. Podiatry Clinic in Ottumwa. He served in the Iowa Army National Guard. Dr. Luke coached Little League baseball, enjoyed the Iowa Hawkeyes, fishing and camping. He was a hard worker and enjoyed helping people. Dr. Luke was a dedicated family man, always there for those he loved. He loved to laugh, enjoyed visiting with company and being at church. Surviving are two sons, Christopher Luke and Joel (Christonia) Luke of Ottumwa; 8 grandchildren, Zachary, Cora, Gabriel, Suzanne, Alexander, Madeline, René and Malcom. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis “Maxine” Mitchell. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. Cremation will follow the visitation with private inurnment in Shaul Cemetery. The Oytumwa Post March 16 2018
