Read More	The Daily Nonpareil - Council Bluffs, IA - Mar 6, 2006 Duane Kemmish Duane Kemmish, age 91, of Persia, Iowa. Duane was born in Harrison County on June 23, 1914 to J. W. and Lottie Brown Kemmish. Duane lived and farmed the place he was born. Upon his retirement in 1978, they moved to Persia. Duane enjoyed sports, and was an avid lifelong Tri-Center sports fan. He especially loved baseball, and was an umpire for several years, working community, Little League, Legion and High School ball games. Duane served several years on the Rural Electric Company Board of Harrison County and the NIPCO Board. Duane helped organize Tri-Center School District and served on the school board. Duane was a member of the United Methodist Church in Persia. Duane was preceded in death by his wife, Vonda; his parents; son, Gary; brother, Lloyd; and sister, Lorna Hansen. Survivors include son, Ken and wife Char Les of Crescent, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Geneva Kemmish of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sister, Herma Wilson of Persia; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Persia. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the PIC Hall in Persia following the committal service at the Valley View Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to the United Methodist Church of Persia.
