Description	:	Duane "Jens" LaVerne Jensen, 78, of Longmont, CO. died February 25, 2016 at Longmont United Hospital. Duane was born June 26, 1937, the son of Martin and Olga Jensen, at the Jensen farm near Norma, ND where he was raised and received his education. On July 2, 1960, Duane was united in marriage to Aurice Wulfekuhl at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kenmare, ND. Duane was born June 26, 1937, the son of Martin and Olga Jensen, at the Jensen farm near Norma, ND where he was raised and received his education. On July 2, 1960, Duane was united in marriage to Aurice Wulfekuhl at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kenmare, ND. Following their marriage, they made their home in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Colorado and New Mexico. Duane had 2 businesses in Kenmare North Dakota. They then relocated to Colorado where he ran heavy equipment, his life's ambition, until retiring in 2002. Duane and Aurice retired to Yuma, AZ for 13 years. They later moved to Longmont to be close to their family and friends. Duane was a life member of the Elks and a member of the Moose. Duane always enjoyed doing things with his family and spending time with friends. He enjoys hunting, fishing, playing cards and having a beer and a good laugh. His family that loves him and who are going to miss him include Aurice, his wife of 55 years, son Peter Jensen (Dan Lenox), daughter Louise Mogren (John Jacob), grandchildren, LaCee Mogren (Vanessa Ramirez), Lee Mogren, great grandchildren Ike, Myles and Lilly Ann, sister Dorothy Bauer, Bismarck, ND, sister in law, Vallie Jensen of Kenmare, ND and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Duane was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother LaVerne, brother Donovan and brother in law Robert Bauer. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Howe Mortuary in Longmont. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that all donations be made to the St. Agnes or Zion Cemetery funds c/o Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St. Longmont, CO 80501 Please visit www.howemortuary.com to share thoughts, memories and condolences with the family. Burial later in the Saint Agnes Catholic Cemetery at Kenmare, ND.
