Description	:	Dura Emaline Thayer, daughter of John Winsor and Mary Thayer, was born a mile east of Nora June 24, 1886, and departed tis (sic) life at Lincoln General Hospital September 22, 1944, at the age of 58 years, 2 months, 29 days. At the age of thirteen she confessed her Savior and was baptized and united with the Christian Church of Nora, transferring her membership to the Christian Church of Nelson this June. She was a steadfast Christian woman throughout her life. On March 3, 1909, she was united in marriage to Elmer Williams and to this union were born four children: Thelma Hertel, Walster R. Williams, Electrician Mate 2nd class of the U.S. Navy, John Virle, and Elmer Junior Williams. Her husband preceded her in death on May 16, 1944. She leaves to mourn her departure, her four children, a son-in-law, Capt. Oliver R. Hertel, somewhere in England, and grandchild, Joan Hertel; three brothers, Geo. D. Thayer and Frank Thayer of Nora and Arthur Thayer of Superior; two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Williams of Nora and Mrs. Blanche Browning of Omaha; besides a host of other relatives and friends.
