Description	:	Dwight Joseph "Joe" Miller, the son of Frank and Ruth (Eastman) was born May 24, 1930, in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in the Greenville/Rossie area, where he received his education, graduating from Greenville/Rossie Consolidated School in 1948. Following his schooling, he entered the military and served with the U.S. Marine Corp from 1949 until his honorable discharge in 1955, achieving the rank of Sargeant. Read More	Dwight Joseph "Joe" Miller, the son of Frank and Ruth (Eastman) was born May 24, 1930, in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in the Greenville/Rossie area, where he received his education, graduating from Greenville/Rossie Consolidated School in 1948. Following his schooling, he entered the military and served with the U.S. Marine Corp from 1949 until his honorable discharge in 1955, achieving the rank of Sargeant. After his service, he returned to the Greenville/Rossie area. Joe married Betty Lou Anderson on January 19, 1957, in Jackson, Minnesota. Following their marriage, they moved to Spencer, where he worked at Whittenberg Distributing working in all aspects of the company for thirty years. For the last seven years of his working life, he worked for Spencer Schools until his retirement in 2001. Joe was an avid fisherman and most of his spare time was spent fishing in area fishing holes. Joe passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Michael Miller, son, Steven Miller, sister, Marjean Crute, brother, Marland Fred Miller, and his wife, Betty, on February 13, 2011. Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Susan Malloy and her husband, Joe, of Cumming, IA and Barbara Conlon and her husband, Mick, of Snohomish, WA; one son, Jeff Miller, and his wife, Kelley, of St. Cloud, MN; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Lance Miller, and his wife, Mary, of Pennsylvania; and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Joseph Malloy, Ben Miller, Zac Miller, Rebecca Miller, Mick Conlon, and Warren Meier. Services were conducted on March 16, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer, Iowa.
