Description	:	Eloise Garretson, 75, died Saturday, May 9, 2009, in Greeley after a short baffle with cancer. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today, May 11, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services wifi be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Christ United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Derek DeToni-Hill officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Derek DeToni-Hill officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Evalyn Eloise Lester was born Dec. 29, 1933, in Sterling, to George and Ella Jane (Squier) Lester. She graduated from Sterling High School. On Feb. 22, 1951, she married Earl Garretson in Atwood. Eloise was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, led the Education Committee and served on numerous committees. She was also a member of the Busy Bees Extension Homemakers where she recently served as secretary Eloise enjoyed sewing and cross stitch. Her children and grandchildren were often the lucky recipients of her handi work. She loved the Colorado Rockies and time Denver Broncos and was happy the Nuggets were enjoying a win ning season. Eloise enjoyed celebrating the holidays with her family. She especially enjoyed deco rating and baking for the Christmas season. After raising her six children, she spent the next 30 years providing in-home daycare. She loved her day- care children like her own. Eloise was a loving wife, a wonderful mother and grand-mother and a caring friend to many. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She is survived by her hus band of 58 years, Earl; three daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Rick Patterson of Greeley, Joanne and Kevin Kimey of Boise, Idaho, and Sandy and Michael Underwood of Sterling; along with two sons and their wives, Michael and Juanelle Garretson of Sauna, Kan., and Jeff and Deb Garretson of Lindsborg, Kam; and 14 grand children, Adam Patterson, Amanda and Alyssa Kimey, Emory Underwood, Shannon, Matt, Taylor, Camden, and Brooks Garretson, and Olivia,Luke, Seth, Isaac, and Joshua Garretson; sister, Karyn Brennan; and brothers, Morris Lester and Steve County. Eloise was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David; and an infant daughter, Kathy.Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church. Funds will be designated for children's ministry.
