Description	:	Earl A. Groves, 83, of Petersburg, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at his home. Born on May 27, 1917, in Maysville, he was the son of the late Roy and Gracie May (Judy) Groves. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Neva E. (Ours) Groves on May 25, 2000; two sisters. Mr. Groves was a lifelong farmer and participanted in local, state and national livestock activities. Surviving are three daughters, Betty L. Groves of Petersburg, Helen L. Hedrick of Petersburg, and Ellen I. Kirby of Petersburg; two grandsons; three great-grandsons; one sister, Kathleen Kile of Cabins; and a number of nieces and nephews, who thought of him as Pap, including a nephew who lived with the Groves family, Conway C. Ours Jr. Friends will be received at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the Grove Street United Methodist Church, Friday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Rebecca L.
