"We were going north on 13th street when Earl suddenly said he wanted to see the man in the approaching transport," Durr said. "I pulled over to the curb and Davis jumped out and ran across the street. The next thing I saw his body was in the street and the transport passed over it." George Huettelmaier, Omaha, driving a second transport said Davis seemed to stumble as he reached for the handle, then was flung under the wheels.
