On Tuesday, April 5, 1977, he passed away at the Fillmore County hospital in Geneva. Earl grew to manhood on the farm where he was born and attended Geneva high school. For many years he was employed at McPeck’s Produce and for... Read More	FIEDLER, EARL H.—Earl H. Fiedler was born on a farm near Geneva on November 25, 1911, to Lewis H. and Vera L. Koehn Fiedler. On Tuesday, April 5, 1977, he passed away at the Fillmore County hospital in Geneva. Earl grew to manhood on the farm where he was born and attended Geneva high school. On May 7, 1934, Earl and Nellie A. Rakestraw were married in Clay Center, Neb. To this union was born one son, Larry. Earl spent his entire life in the Geneva community. For many years he was employed at McPeck’s Produce and for the last ten years worked for the Fillmore County Shops as a clerk. Preceding him in death were his parents, Lewis H. and Vera; one brother, Pearl, and one sister, Irene. Those who survive include his wife, Nellie; son, Larry and his wife Janice, of Minot, N.D.; a sister, Mrs. Earl (Velma) Hoppa of Lincoln, and a grandson, Barry, and a granddaughter, Dana, also nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer & son funeral home in Geneva at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 7, 1977, with Rev. Neil L. Kettering officiating. Organist was Mrs. Norval Lomax. Pallbearers were Joe Bixby, Gerald Crawford, Ben Fussell, Lewis Grote, Dean Heath and Clarence Steider. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal 21 April 1977
