Description	:	E. M. Starr died Suddenly Monday; Services Wednesday Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Ernest Marvin Starr at the Methodist Church. Rev. Paul J. Johnson conducted the services. Pallbearers were Joe Steenson, Joe Nealon, Wm. Allen, Lloyd Studley, Claude Green and Asa Watts. The Methodist Jr. choir sang "Face to Face", "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Going Down the Valley" accompanied by Mrs. J. C. Wilson. Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery. Obituary - Ernest Marvin Starr was born at Brock, Nebraska, October 12, 1879 and passed away March 12, 1951, at the age of 71 years and 5 months. He was united in marriage on February 20, 1901 to Carolina Elm, and to this union were born four children: Harry at home; Bud of Belgrade, and Mrs. Alta Whalen of Greeley. One daughter, Mrs. Vera Hughes, passed away in 1934. His father and mother grew to manhood and womanhood in Nemaha county, Nebraska, where he was born. When he was 13 years old, he moved with his family to Genoa, Nebraska, where he lived until 9 years after his marriage. Later the family lived at Belgrade, Fullerton and Burwell. Then in 1930, they settled in Greeley, where he lived until the time of his death. Mr. Starr was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. He was a kind and loving husband and father, and he had a host of friends, whom he valued very highly, and who will miss him in their daily lives. Besides his wife and 3 children, he is survived by 3 brothers: Bill of Overton, Hugh of Ord and Frank of Rochester, New York.
