Mass. and Della Veasey, housewife, born in New Hampton. >New Hampton Town Report. Ashland Man Dies in Fall. Special to the Union. Ashland, April 9 - Eddie V. Boynton, about 65 years old, who lives on the Buzzel farm over the New Hampton line, fell this afternoon from a ladder while repairing his barn and died almost instantly from a broken neck. Medical Referee Dr. Leon M. Orton was summoned and pronounced death accidental. Boynton was a veteran of the Spanish-American war. Funeral arrangements have not been made as yet. >The Union Leader, April 9, 1940. Eddie V. Boynton. The funeral of Edward V. Boynton, who was accidentally killed when he fell while repairing the barn on Buzzell farm where he lived, was a military one at the home of his sister, Mrs. Alice Hughes on School Street, Friday afternoon. He was a Spanish War Veteran and the funeral was in charge of the American Legion, Ezra Dupuis Post. Rev. J.A. Chapin was the officiating clergyman. Burial was in Green Grove Cemetery. Mr. Boynton was born in New Hampton, the son of Elbridge and Nellie (Haines) Boynton, August 13, 1875. He is survived by one son Elbridge, with whom he lived, one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Hughes, of Ashland; three brothers, Clarence of Littleton, Carl of Wayne, Maine; Elmer of New Hampton; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Hughes of Ashland; Mrs. Minnie Drake of New Hampton. >The Ashland Citizen. The above obituary states that he had four sisters. Omitted were Lucy Gilman of Alton, and Blanche Taylor of Belmont.
